Relay at Moor of Alvie

Went okay, started second to last on second leg so spent too much time trying to catch up to the pack and not reading the map properly, if it had been ident I would have probably mis-punched tbh. Got confused and went to multiple controls in the wrong order because of this again and my ankle began to hurt from yesterday in the rough ground, calf joining in too after trying to compensate for it. But once I lost the pack the orienteering side improved and I was happy with my performance, lessons learned though.

Really useful session, worked though about 9 exercises which even though initially it felt weird doing because I've never done real weights in my life such as this (3 and 6 kg weights although some exercises felt like you needed bigger). Although got into the swing of it and really enjoyed it, might try some more at home once I find some weights haha, never thought I'd say that.

Orienteering (Tech Training) 2:00:00 [4]

F - 4.5km 33.56mins - Pre and post race training with a team at Findhorn. Was pretty useful and a nice area, good navigation but the controls were slightly hidden.
34.55 3.03km
20.58 1.96km
23.19 2.66km - close to 8km - nice training at - really good terrain throughout

Felt okay going into it although I didn't prepare for the pace. The actual orienteering was good even though I fell into a bog for ages after 1 but the rest of that course went well. Then on the second course I went over on my ankle on a rock which pushed it backwards towards my leg :/ it felt pretty sore so I tried to continue to run but I couldn't without pain so walked the rest of the courses on the paths and did 2 more controls with meg who was also injured. Really annoying as these exercises are really beneficial but enjoyed it anyway, only a minor setback. inc. warm up/down (15mins)

intervals - 8mins 1.8km - 8min threshold run, good pace although retrospectively I could have gone faster but the hr was consistent and nice.
4 x 2min intervals - 492m, 501m, 482m, 476m - okay intervals, didn't enjoy the course that we had to run but was pretty consistent and the pace was good.
6 x 60m intervals - all about 10 seconds, a few under too. Feeling pretty tired now after a long day but kept consistent and the hr was again right.
