Running long 4:54:48 [3]

After missing Friday nights planned run I had to come up with a new plan. K - way and I had tickets to the TFC game at 3 PM so I decided to run out the door.

Ran the Grand River trail down to Chicopee and back. Not as many hills as Hockley but the whole route was runnable (including 2 times up Chicopee) and there was a good portion of single track. Started out in the dark with a lot of mist in the air. By the time the sun came up it had started to rain. Ended up running through 2 thunder storms where I was able to find shelter and wait them out (and stop the running time on my watch). The Last 2 hours the sun was out and it gave me a chance to dry out a bit.

Last big long run before Oil Creek think I'm as ready as I can be.

Felt like I pulled something in my left hip flexor late in the game. Still sore the next day. May take a day or two of rest to see if it gets better.

Running to Bechtel and home plus time between intervals.

Three laps around Bechtel doing my longer hilly intervals. 2-3 min recovery inbetween.

Lap 1 = 19:30 (was in the dark)
Lap 2 = 19:08
Lap 3 = 18:55

Note

90% sure I will do a Hockley run Friday night if anyone is interested. I'll probably do 2 loops starting between 5:30-6 pm. Although I can be flexible if you need to start later.

Light run on the treadmill to loosen up the legs.

Running hills 31:30 [5]

6 hill repeats with 2 min recovery.

Started the treadmill at 12 % incline and 5 mph. Increased both speed and incline with every repeat. Last one was 30s shorter as I almost fell off.
