Orienteering race 3:20:00 [4]

This year with the Aud on the bench Mrs. Tiny and I decided to do this event together. Eddie was nice enough to agree to run with us as well. We should have had to tow rope hooked up right from the start, but we didn't think of it, but on the way to one we realized this and got it out. From that point on Kristen probably spent all but 20 min on the tow including most of the off trail sections as well. Eddie was very impressive as he towed Kristen right up until CP 22 where I took over for the run back to the finish. We just plugged along the course and seemed to be moving very well, but really had no idea where we were compared to everyone else. We ran into Pillar/Trav around 9-10 and did the back section together. I was pleasantly surprised to see we were 13th overall given this was a runner's race and we are not great runner's. It was also nice to be done with enough time to grab some food before heading home to pickup Teeny.

Thanks PH and GHO.

3 tempo loops around Bechtel park

1: 15:59

I had a really nice wipe out on loop 2 which then caused me to forget I had added an extra hill climb as I was busy trying to pull off my wet gloves.
