Training Log Archive: Timato

I probably won't write up a report on this race as it's not something I want to relieve in the end. I found this race very frustrating at times. If anyone was trying to follow along from home and found it hard to figure out what was going on outside the top 2 let's just say the racers were in the same boat and you can imagine how frustrating that was. At this point I wouldn't go back and do this race again, but time may change my mind. It felt like the race director was doing everything he could to hide controls in the woods on us. Things like you'd come to an intersection and then the control description was 20 m NE in the woods. Off you go to try and find a flag on a tree in think woods, we spent many, many controls swearing at the woods as we wandered around trying to find the correct tree.

As a team we raced really well together, James was a great guy to race with. Still not sure what place we ended up in, and at this point I probably don't care. Was very impressed with the race by ATP/Salomon, and congrats to them on a first place finish.
