Cycling 1:10:00 [3]

Palgrave East singletrack in the falling snow.
A group of riders was just behind me on the first section. The lead 2 were fast but waited up for the others, and I had to work hard to drop them rather than leapfrog. Sun then snow.

Note

Abs sore from toes-to-ceiling-handles yesterday. Must be doing them better.

Strength 20:00 [3]

Dumbbells and kettlebells.

Running 40:00 [2]
shoes: Topo Terraventure

Run/bushwhack with both dogs.

Running 1:10:00 [3]
shoes: Topo Ultraventure Blue

Palgrave East and West Rollercoaster with both dogs.

Strength 40:00 [3]

Workout 3 plus rehab and core. Need to do dumbbells and kb tomorrow.

Note

Woo- hoo, Pandemic Insurance adjuster called. My policy is supposed to have 24-hr-later coverage. Missed it by 50 days and counting.

Cycling 1:15:00 [3]

Palgrave East. Did a bit of Bikexploring of the hydro corridor parallel to the road. Pulled the plug when cold rain started.

Running 1:15:00 [3]

All-you-can-sniff run with both dogs in Palgrave East doubletrack. The boys enjoyed a nice swim in the sparkling clear Humber river.

Strength 1:00:00 [2]

Workout 2, some core and rehab.

Cycling 1:56:00 [3]

First lap of Palgrave West with the big guy, then second lap of Palgrave East. Perfect conditions and empty trails.

Cycling 1:05:00 intensity: (20:00 @2) + (45:00 @3)

Scoot to work for a drop-off, then an easy ride with AD. No people out on the cool blustery morning, but I did have a deer crash across the trail in front of me with a brown Border Collie in hot pursuit. I managed to stop the dog with a yell and bike blockade and he did a 180 and hopefully ran back to his unseen owner.

AD’s shoulder is doing better.

Strength 1:00:00 [2]

Workout 2 plus some rehab.
Also did some forest fit. In addition to pull-ups and horizontal rowing, I also tried toes-to-branch (fairly easy-probably doing them wrong) and muscle-ups (fail-couldn’t even do 1- maybe easier on a smooth bar?)

Running 1:32:08 [3] 12.46 km (7:24 / km) +188m 6:52 / km
shoes: Topo Ultraventure Blue

(1:45) Run with the big guy on a sunny, windless perfect day. It was warm enough that he had 3 good water breaks, including a full swim in the Humber.
He also set an easy pace home.

Only saw a couple of other people on the trail, but the singletrack was buzzing with bikes. Cars parked all over the road, and I had to wait out a big group of over a dozen bikers standing around the trailhead at Duffy’s lane.
