Pretty River with Tarno. We did extra snowmobile doubletrack. Hilly, and a tough slog in wet snow. Woods looked beautiful though.
I used Tarno’s gpx file as mine missed the first bit.

Strength 50:00 [2]

Workout 2 plus rehab.

Running 1:00:00 [3] 7.5 km (8:00 / km)
shoes: Topo Ultraventure Blue

Not too enthusiastic about a long run in these conditions.
I used my new Ultraventures. Half the run was bare ground or mud, and the Ultraventures felt great! Roomy, love the fit and moderate rise with near-hoka padding, and good tread. Side of the toe box is a bit more reinforced too.
Great replacement for my Calderas, which I ran to death.

Half the commute is death-ice, and I put on Kahtoolas for that. Every shoe feels heavy and sluggish with these on, but the traction was appreciated.
Careful night run home.

Running 58:00 [3]

Another shiny glacial commute with the big boy. I had to help him on the steeper bits. Maybe bigger spikes tomorrow.

Cautious trot home.

Running 1:00:00 [3]

2-dog run on gleaming glacial trails. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this many km of ice on my commute.

Bruce North of 9 through Hockleycrest. Slow going with ice, slush and some mud. Used poles, and brought Kahtoolas which I used for a short while. AD had no problem.
