(85 min) Run/hike with Bazingadog, now that his recovery time is over!
He was all business on the way to work, trotting nicely, but a lot more stopping to sniff and pee on the return. He was wiped out after- the big boy's not fit yet.

Nice sociable ride with the tireless Adventuredog. The fat rear tire worked well with one drivetrain adjustment.

AD was full of beans for the hike with The Big Dog later, not tired at all.

Changed the bike over to 3.0 rear between sets (not as easy as it should be- I have to change the gearing and drive train routing to clear.)

Hilton Falls run with DD, Ironparent, Ursula, Storm and the dog team of AD, Scout and Maggie. Great to catch up with DD, even though he can casually chat at what I thought was a fairly fast pace.

Woo hoo! First ski to work. Got the rock skis out in marginal conditions, but it's still skiing the whole way. Supposed to rain after so I brought my snow runners for the return.

Ran to work with AD via extra hilly singletrack. Legs were great today, flew up the hills and felt fast on flats. Where was this at RTH?? Maybe it's just the winter weather.
Note- the Razors really stick to ice, without spikes. At least smooth flat ice- spikes would rule on lumpy ice.

RTH with Gally and STORM.
50th anniversary version, with 50CPs. Lots of walk-the-line type sections with some checkpoints that may or may not be there. Lots of escarpment climbs and descents on loose rocks hidden under leaves too.
Things started out fast , and we leapfrogged the top teams for the first hour. For some reason I felt like I was redlining early and just didn't seem to be able to get back In the zone, even when we dialed it back. I felt good on some of the rail trail bits but ended up on STORM's tow for some climbs. (A first for me). We were back up front after the first matrix, but I didn't have the gas to keep up with Griz/Trav or Bender/Logie. We did drop the Foreigners.

We had a killer finish as another all male team caught up at CP 47, and STORM dragged me to the line from there with some shoves from Gally to just beat them. I was completely done- hardest raid ever for me. STORM was a beast, Gally was sharp on the map and moving fast, but I wasn't able to contribute too much this time.

Big props to everyone who worked hard on setting this up and volunteering.

We ended up 3rd overall by 15 min, 2nd male. Good on Griz, Trav and Marie to take the win.

Fall 50 party. Spectacular September weather- not a cloud in the sky.
A whole bunch of us (BGY, LD, Huey, Reed, Bash) biked from Huet HQ in Caledon East to BGY's place, where we met up with Goose and Crash.

Manisa made us way too many, way too delicious fresh wontons. Next the BGYs led us on a hike of their 'hood.



Back on the bikes we rode with Mike H added to the crew, picking up clues enroute, to our place where Bash stopped to hang out with the hacking hounds. From there to Chez Crash for date squares and cookies. Next down to Albion for some MTBO, then back on the rail trail to Huet HQ for a feast!


It all worked out very well- everyone was able to participate to some degree or other.

Left arm was a bit wonky on pull-ups- maybe something from aerial yoga or doing 22 pushups with my feet in the sling yesterday, with the last 10 clapping.

Gorgeous day for a scoot down to Palgrave East, where I rode nearly every bit of trail, single and doubletrack. Every other rider had a dog, but both ours are on the sick list.

Very cool- imagine yoga in zero gravity!

Like SUP yoga, it mixes it up a fair bit.

Note

No biking due to sick AD (Kennel cough- horking and hacking like an old man with a fishbone in his throat) , so I drove Bazingadog to work. He's loving being back at work, even if he can't run.

Still doing a measly 22 pushups daily.
