Beautiful day to explore the snowy trails of Palgrave West and do a bit of bushwhacking through powder. 'Bent was privileged to have a bevy of female skiers to escort him through the woods. From L to R: Coach LD, me, Rocky.
BulletDog came along, and she's a girl too! This was a big week for her, celebrating her 6th birthday and the 1-year anniversary of major knee surgery (plates and screws) for a torn ACL. As you can see, it worked *really* well.
We had a tough herringbone through heavy powder to reach the top of Lookout Hill, where we had a nice view across the countryside to the Niagara Escarpment.
We explored a bunch of trails on conservation land and private land. We were excited to discover a nice section of groomed, classic track-set trail way back in the forest! VO2Max's grandfather - a very energetic man in his 80s - occasionally does this with his snowmobile. Awesome!
We knew that Crash was leaving for Jamaica tonight, and rather than giving her a chance to pack, we decided that she needed a visit from her friends. We helped her by offering to clear out some of her famous Crash-brownies that were taking up space in the freezer.
We all tried her chin-up bar before heading out to finish our ski. 'Bent and Coach LD were the stars.
