Took an old friend trail running from Kerncliffe Park west along the Bruce to Grindstone Falls. Cool off at the top of the falls and then back to the car.

First ride back into Kelso after the "tick in hair at work" incident. I rocked the whites and put my hair in a bun with a white buff and off I went. So far, no ticks on me.

PS - A field biologist/colleague recommended I use Premethrin on my gear (but its not for skin). Apparently it "kills the tick" and is not just a repellent. The Canadian version is less toxic than the one that is sold in the US.

Limberlost Forest - Solitaire Lake Trail. Again the map reported it as a 13K trail but I did it under an hour so they must be over stating the distance on purpose.

This trail is really really nice and so rare to be able to run 10k around a lake in the woods, but with the trail almost entirely right at the water's edge. In the heat of the day you get both the shade and breeze.
