Slow warm up run into Kelso and then I did 3 bunny hill repeats at full speed, following by 1 repeat of the ski hill at a power hike pace (not worrying about HR at all), then jog back to car.

Fun hike with some family and friends. We did most of the 22K Hilton Side Trail Loop in the drizzly rain. Thank goodness for the thermos of hot coffee and the smouldering fire at Hilton Falls. Also a good reminder about what happens to Gortex coats after a few hours of soggy wetness.
I figured this would be good Maffetone training even though I was well below the MAPR on average. Although I did hit the max hr at one point.
