Cycle 2:00:00 [3] 32.0 km (3:45 / km)

Fun ride with Katie from Hilton to Kelso and back around. Sadly I got us geographically misplaced in the backwoods trails on the other side of the falls, and we ended up on a massive hike-a-bike section but it was excellent AR training.
2 PM

Running 2:26:00 [3] 14.3 km (10:13 / km) +1374m 6:54 / km

Between rain storms I headed off into Kelso for a trek in the woods and then 8 hill repeats across different parts of the ski hill. It was awesome running in the rain, so quiet and warm. As I came out a fellow was heading in who told me he was from BC and loved the rain, and that our bodies release negative ions when it rains . Not sure what he was talking about but it sounded good.

The elevation gain comes from my garmin but still looks pretty high.

7 PM

Running 1:00:00 [3] 10.0 km (6:00 / km)

Recovery run along the lakeshore trail. Two cyclists told me off for not being on the right part of the trail, in one case maybe I deserved it because I wanted to run in shade, but in the other case the guy wanted me to be on the far right side of the trail.

Running 4:14:00 [3] 78.0 km (3:15 / km)

Awesome ride with Reeder and Simpy as tour guide from Pickering on lots of dusty gravel roads (at my request) and some amazing singletrack. Legs were burning good for most of the ride but I made it out alive. Peaking training begins!

Running 4:51:00 [3] 34.6 km (8:25 / km)

I waited too late to sign up for Sulphur Springs and it sold out just 2 days ago so I went anyway with a friend who was running the 50K and figured I'd just go find the Bruce Trail and do and out and back to Webster's Falls. I took her easy and it was an awesome morning in the cool air on a section of Bruce Trail I have only been on once or twice before for some old Raid the Hammer courses. This is a very pretty run with lots of side trail options. The climb up to Webster's Falls is huge, and would make a great place for hip repeats.

At the finish I found out that my friend finished 50K in the time I did 35K so we napped in the sun until the awards ceremony, and luckily enough got to meet Bash's Mom! Awesome day.

Cycle 1:00:00 [3]

While driving to Spin class I had a Reeder spotting. He snuck into High Park before I could snap a shot of evidence, but Team BiT - he does indeed train!

Strength 20:00 [3]

Core Strength Bonanza.

Cycle 4:21:00 [3] 80.0 km (3:16 / km)

Long ride from the Booster Jouce at Dundas and Walkers Line. Lots of hilly roads, including Appleby, then Kelso trails, followed by tour de Campbellville, then a bunch of Hilton tails, back to Kelso via Steeles, one more Kelso loop and then home on home on roads to a very delicious mango Hurricane smoothy.

It was so hot, I drank 4L of water and was still dehydrated at the end.

Cycle 2:13:00 [3] 30.0 km (4:26 / km)

Amazing biking in Palgrave on a lot of singletrack with Bash as tour guide. That place is totally under-rated. I love it there.

Running 1:18:00 [3] 10.0 km (7:48 / km)

First real brick of the season(sort of we took at 45 minute break to play with the dogs and stock up on food and water). Bash took me out to Glen Haffy area, which was feeling pretty darn hilly after all the singletrack, but I will go back with rested legs, this is also a real perty place to run.
