US Nationals middle
Very positively surprised with the forest and course - a very nice course to run.

Got a bit too far left onto the street to 2nd (15-20s) but otherwise solid start. Already felt the tired legs though up to the 4th/5th. Didn't push the bit further uphill after 5 and went out too low. Realized it though when crossing the stream, saw 2nd again but still didn't take the bit of climb left and definitively ended up too low (1min).
Shortly hesitated before 7 when the earlier marsh was more a stream and I saw the other control also in the re-entrant. Unclean execution to 9 (15sec) and definitively tired to 12.
Think I took the right route choice to 14 saving some climb but couldn't figure it out in the circle (1.45min). Control description was earth bank (which ended above the solid contour line), the circle was about on the solid contour and the control seemed rather lower than the solid contour when coming in along the hill. Anyway also a clear sign of my tiredness.
Legs completely empty on the last climb.

US Nationals Long
Another good day for me (at least mostly)
Started stable and took the time to get into the race. A bit hesitant to 1, a bit too high to 2 and a bit too far left to 3 but all in all probably not more than 45sec.
Could continue with a solid race and decided to invest 0.5-1min to 10 to relax my head a bit before the ending.
Overshot slightly to 11 and unfortunately got a branch directly into the eyes, losing my hard contact lense. Searching a bit but no chance and after some thoughts of ending the race there decided to try to finish it. Lost around 2.5min on 11.
Had to limit the map reading as of the to the absolut minium as I always had to completely stop and not even then could be sure to get a sharp view on the map.
Went too high to 12 (1min), hesitated towards 14 (30sec) and probably lost another 1min until the end adapting the speed to the reduced eye sight.

A bit a pity with the lost 4-5min in the ending but overall still a very enjoyable experience.

US Nationals Sprint
A good sprint race for me. Some suboptimal route choices to 15 (10sec), 16 5sec), 20 (10 sec) but otherwise pretty much what is possible without proper training.
