Bike 5:03:48 [3] 60.01 mi (11.9 mph) +3259ft
ahr:132 max:173 shoes: Salsa Warbird

long ride w Erl. Peat's Hip Ride + Calloway, then took the Katy to the Busch Greenway, bikewhacked around the broken bridge (and kept feet dry!) and then back to the car.

didn't feel quite ship-shape and then immediately after dinner, threw up. hoping it's not long-term sickness.

long run w Erl in prep for LR50k. parked at Sherman Beach and then did Cedar Bluff, Rock Hollow, and Bluffview. the first 10ish miles went by great and then i felt shuffly for the last 6. prob needed more cals and fitness. two important things for a good long run. long ride tomorrow!

Strength 1:00:00 [3]

WU:
10min AD, foam roll, 3x10 SD, 3x15 AS, 3x10 push-up, 3x10 GM, 3x10 OHS.
THEN:
4 rounds of:
3x EL off-box lunge 35#, 45#, 55#, 65#.
6x EL weighted step-up 18" 2x15#
12x split jump
rest.
THEN:
10x 100m row, descending, 1min rest (27.0sec - 22.5sec)
CD:
2 rounds of:
10x RH
10x GHD sit-up.

an easier sesh to go w an easier week. the rest interval on the row seemed excessive...would be better w 30-40sec.

Note
(rest day)

another blood test!

IgE 2/13/15, 104.0 IU/mL
IgE 11/13/15, 106.0 IU/mL
IgE 1/30/17, 50.6 IU/mL
(range is 0-250 IU/mL, so these results are normal, meaning i was not in the middle of, or recovering from, a reaction when blood was drawn)

alpha-gal 2/13/15. 44.80 kU/L
alpha-gal 11/13/15, 34.00 kU/L
alpha-gal 1/30/17, 9.11 kU/L
(range is 0-0.35 kU/L)

we reviewed my reactions at Red Dog and POCAR and renewed Rx for epi-pen. doc said she would have used epi-pen at POCAR. glad that it responded to benadryl/pepcid.

so my alpha-gal result is much lower than before. a good sign. but still 26x higher than a "normal person". so a ways to go. no idea how that explains seemingly higher sensitivity w the recent episodes.
