BT Epic!! this race is the perfect way to end the mtb season. it's always juuust late enough that i have a hard time staying motivated for it, but Scott and Jake put so much work into the event that it's always worth the trip. plus, it was my first race in a Team Noah jersey. team mojo is off the charts!!
SPLITS (compared to 2012)
Bass to Brazil = 1:11 (1:17)
Brazil to Berryman = 1:07 (1:10)
South Loop = 1:46 (1:57)
Berryman to Bass = 2:00 (2:08)
TOTAL 6:05 (6:32)
solid improvement! i just wanted to ride really hard the whole time, but especially on the 2 gravel sections. also made 2 stops to help friends (1 injury, 1 mechanical) and stopped at Bman campground both times to swap bottles. had some cramping issues in the last singletrack but was able to solve without stopping. struggled with tech skillz here too. but once i hit the last gravel it was big gear no fear! fun to have a solo race that is this short, it's a whole other world of pain (AHR 174!) that i don't get to visit very often.
UPDATE: 98th overall, 8th chica. last year i was 94th overall, 9th chica. consistency much? i'm still stoked, i know i rode harder this year and i'll ride harder yet next year.
