pretty wiped from the race, esp right hip flexor, i actually think i bothered it with friday's long swim bc i noticed it right away on sat. very hurty. was supposed to get a recovery swim in today but took that off the sched.

had a mtg in FP and took a chance with the flexor and rode, mostly because i would feel dumb driving that short of a distance. still tender but it felt sooooo good to spin a little.

tempo ride in trainer = 15min WU, 1:30 at MAF, 15min CD. sorta boring set but i kept entertained with good video, BBC's planet earth: jungles and shallow seas.

so. same set as Saturday (3x8min max power @ 60 cadence), except FPC gave me wattage targets which were 50 watts above my previous average. yowza.

they hurt, and i only made the target on the first one, but i am learning. felt like puking for the first time eva on a trainer, i think that's a good thing.

speed work? really? this season is totally beyond my comprehension. 4x800 at 5k race pace, which i took to be 21min, probably too agressive for the purpose of this workout. but, it's done now, and i probably needed the extra intensity since i ate 3 cupcakes today.

easy jog on the tready today because it's snowing (!) and i spent enough time in the cold this weekend. this is the only session of the day, i needed a small rest. massage tonight!
