SLOC Turkey-O with MG, running as a team.
went 11-12-32-22-34-2-33-13-20-31-1-30-16-23-37-24-26-38-39-28-F, which was the entire N loop except 10 and 2 controls on the S loop.
minor mistake at 2. huge mistake at 32 but a team mistake, not nav. Mike went to punch and I proceeded to climb to 28 since i had been climbing slowly all day. we lost contact and spent 10 minutes re-uniting. then had to haul down the road and were still late. but otherwise the co-nav went GREAT and we worked out a lot of kinks for cwood.

19k actual distance traveled, 15k was our route's redline, here is the real route:

Greensfelder with MG. haven't been on mtb since July and with castlewood AR coming up I needed a refresher. the first half was a little nuts as i was way spastic, or as Mike put it "it's like watching someone learn to mountain bike all over again". second half was much better. 2 crashes, lots of feet down, but super fun.

5 controls off the permanent course at Rockwoods with MG. first 3 were great, and then we had trouble with the last 2. we need to improve real quick!!

Tri Club Wild Turkey Run. there were Wild Turkey shots before starting, I didn't have any. But I did have Bailey's+coffee at the finish...omg YUM. the run itself was quite nice although HR was super high throughout, probably excitement and lack of training.

first Master's back! hung out in the back of lane 7 and worked on backstroke & breaststroke. Hap stuck around after practice and gave me some breaststroke advice:

in water:
--keep arms in front of "the vertical" & hug the water in front (a la chicken dance)
--hide the knees behind the hips, flex feet and push off instep

--standing into insteps
--hurdle stretch on crack

my swim project this winter is to develop a legal breaststroke, i've got a long way to go!
