Needed to do some harder running and occasionally the treadmill is motivating to push harder when I am solo. But oops, heart rate was real. Spiked to 232 30-seconds into my cool down and 10 minutes later dropped back to normal. No other issues, other than knowing that what was happening was anomalous.

Definitely not in good enough form for the 3rd day of red. Every leg but the finish was slow. The length of time it took for the uphill run was an ominous sign. What I didn't appreciate nearly soon enough was that it pointed out that my distance perception was wildly off, presumably from a very short, stiff stride. On the first long leg, I was very confused and stopped short and off-bearing ultimately going to 11 before 2. The spur seemed to take eons to cross. Correcting my error, more eons. I guess it was only perception though because I had just aged by 2h by the end of the race ;) Most of the rest of the race was navigationally ok just tardy.
