Billy injured himself so no Laurentian Rogaine; besides a cold kicked in full force Friday morning. We'd planned Laurentian as our last test prior to the worlds. So no sense loosing the training, however the cold delayed my original intent to run to Hamilton along the waterfront and up to my parent's via the Bruce Trail through the night.
Instead spent Saturday on the couch resting and headed out early Sunday. Took full race kit in proper setup and ran waterfront to Oakville, then paralleled Sixteen Mile Creek on the roads up to Milton. Waterfront trail was too much pavement (was hoping to run beside it on the grass, but not an option when the majority of the trail follows residential roads). Then no trails going up 16-mile, so more roads. Pulled the rip cord in Milton as pavement was getting to me and there'd be another 20km to the farm. Not worth risking damage with only 3wks left.

Felt good throughout, although cold was still lingering.
