It was raining and warm out. Since I was doing control pickup I decided to only do a red course.

I started off ok but not in good shape so was getting tired. I caught up to Dan Quinn and he forced me to keep running when I would have walked if I had been by myself.
My route to 7 wasn't ideal. Leaving 8 I also made a minor mistake. 15 was mis-hung so I lost some time there but so did everybody. I also lot time at 16 Root stock was very small on the up-hill side. I pulled up a little short. Dan Quinn punch just before me. then a kid came over the top stepping the log where it was tired and knocked it to the ground. He picked it up but didn't straighten it out. i lost 20 seconds trying to get the log back upright.

Picking up controls around clopper lake. It was mostly trail but I was tired and by the end had to much stuff to carry (14 controls, 2 stands, 2 water stops).

Wasn't sure how far I would go. Started off at the faster 8:35 pace. Amazing how hard it is to maintain that pace when it isn't fast.. Was going to stop but decided to just slow down.
