NEOC Meet at Blue Hills West - Green Course

Rough outing at Blue Hills West. The course looked great on paper, with white woods as far as the eye could see. Sadly, the woods have become much more green since the map was updated. So, with my limited range of motion, I ended up unable to run in many sections. Then, to make things worse, when I could run, I ran too fast and was unable to stay in contact with the map (partly because of the limited visibility; partly because of my incompetence).

Running warm up/down 9:00 [0] 0.98 mi (9:10 / mi) +2m 9:07 / mi

Garmined the run back from the finish, so I doubled it up to account for the jog to the start.

Running 17:00 [2] 2.0 mi (8:30 / mi)

Got up bright and early before Chelsea's graduation, to move the car into the parking garage, then went for a short run around campus. When I got to Killian Court and saw the line that was already forming, I decided to end the run, shower and return. Worked out well - got there about 7:05am ("doors" opened at 7:30) and was able to get 4 outside aisle seats in the 6th row, which turned out to be a nice spot to be.

Sal Khan was the speaker and did a very nice job. Khan Academy is his claim to fame.

Legs stiff and sore after the drive to Boston, but I forced myself to do a Bridge Circuit from Burton, but it was just BU.

TNT at Lincoln Park

Brian set up a Memory-O after the recent rain washed out the initial Line-O plan. I did 9 of the 11 controls before bailing to head out to dinner with Wilbur's family.

Note
(rest day)

Legs were in no shape to run today (banged up knee was probably the most limiting factor), so I just studied for my exam during Luke's baseball practice. I did do some "strides" diagonally at the track to time Val's 200s. She did 400, 2x300, 3x200, with the first at each distance over hurdles at the barrier locations.
73?, 57, 56, 37, 36, 33.7 (recovery about 2.5, 2, 2.75, 1.1, 1.3 min)
