Day 1 French 5 Day. Sprint at a fort. But there were different levels and stairs.
Ugh I’m not good at figuring that out at speed. Running not bad in this event.k

Stage 5 and last day of the 5Day Italian event.
Could of been the most fun area to run in.
Still made a few mistakes. Map will be posted at the Badger O Club Facebook site.
Leaving the event a 26 year old female volunteer veterinarian died in a crash with a bus carrying 50 athletes. So sad!!

Seemed the terrain became more enjoyable everyday.
On to the France 5 day!

Stage 4 of 5 Days of Italy.

Most fun day yet. Fairly accurate and actually started jogging and running 1/2 way through!! Even though it hurt a bit I was super happy to be moving again.
Less climb today and last 4-5 controls very orange level. (Fast)
The terrain was more gentle and less knarly.

Stage 3, 5 Days of Italy.
Went early to the start and they let me go early to walk my course. It was hilly and difficult terrain to run or walk.
Lots of climbs and overall I managed to not hurt myself and actually feel 1000% better at this time. The workout actually improved my pain, don’t ask me how except good pain meds??
Tried to run on a road/trail and said forget it.

Orienteering Meet race 30:17 intensity: (3:40 @0) + (6:18 @1) + (5:32 @2) + (14:45 @3) + (2 @4) **** 1.33 mi (22:46 / mi) +23m 21:38 / mi
ahr:105 max:142 spiked:0/2c shoes: New Inov8s 19

Stage 3, well having trouble with this map right away with two slow controls.
On the long leg I picked up a popular trail and went down hard on my right chest. Had a hard time breathing, hurt bad and went to this road and flagged down a car that was coming from hiking and was going down past the finish.
That was the good part of my worse fall ever in Orienteering or otherwise.
Not sure what tomorrow will bring, but I’m resting in bed fairly comfortable till I move.
