We've been stuck on the tarmac in DC so long we're almost certainly going to miss our connection to France, boo. Hoping we make it there in time for the sprints on Sunday!
Edit: whew, the travel gods smiled on us and we made our connection with moments to spare. Now at our hotel in Risoul.
Warm-up and 4x800 intervals at the track. Hot, but not quite as humid as it has been. Mostly right around 4:00 for the intervals, except the last one at 4:30 and I kind of felt like I was dying.
Took Katherine to a local sunflower maze and talked to the owner afterward- he was super excited about the prospect of setting up some orienteering races in his mazes (he has 2 in southern Maryland). A little too short notice for this year- due to the heat, he thinks the maze will only survive about another week or so, but definitely a good prospect for next year, or maybe even some of the local corn mazes in the fall.
