orienteering 1:40:00 [3] 4.8 km (20:50 / km)

UNO camping weekend! We got into Maine late Saturday night, so only went for Sunday, but still got to see lots of friends and do some awesome orienteering. The first half of my course went fairly well, once I remembered how to read a map- its been a while. I figured the leg to #6 was rife with opportunity to goober it up completely, but I managed to stay somewhat in control. Took it slow, though, and definitely made some mistakes. Then promptly lost all focus on 7 and 8, losing several minutes due to bad habits. Overran 9, because I stayed too high, then had no issues on 10. Lots of fun, and great courses, I just need to get out on a map more than I have.

biking (Road) 1:05:00 [3] 18.0 mi (3:37 / mi)

Finally got the tri bike back from the shop, needs a couple tweaks (like a new seat), but I think it's going to work out well. Had planned to go for a test ride yesterday, but got dressed, set up the bike, experimentally clipped in one shoe, and promptly ripped the bottom of the shoe off (cleat and all) trying to unclip. Got very upset that apparently my new pedals were adjusted far too tight, but then saw that the sole of my other shoe was coming off, too. Guess I got lucky that it didn't happen miles out on a ride, but now I'm just annoyed that I'd only been using those shoes for a few months and they came apart. Good thing I have a second pair, just not with me yesterday.

running 28:00 [3] 3.0 mi (9:20 / mi)

Treadmill today, because it's still summer. At least the forecast for Maine next week looks good! Also, my calves were weirdly tight all day, but after the first 5 minutes or so of running they felt a bit better.
