shoes: Inov8 212 (blue & orange)

Orroral Crossing - Course 3 (M55)
Ok to 4 (106), the bingo control, which I found but thought I was looking for 107 so went for a 7 minute wander through the thick, scratchy stuff before returning to 106 to punch. Dumb route choice to 5 through more thick stuff testing my patience. Headed down to the creek and was lacking any enthusiasm to continue after crossing so crossed back and walked back to the finished. Realised on the way home that, as I had only punched the download rather than finish, I hadn't turned my SI air stick off so a quick trip to Undy's was in order to do so.

Canberra Grammar - Course 6 (M55)
Hardly ideal preparation jumping out of the car having just driven from Sydney and then a token 2 minute warm up before racing. Needless to say I didn't really get going and ended up third, despite no major errors. Great intricate course needing careful contact with the map on the longer legs.

Three minis then three very shorts off 30 secs and 2 mons betweeen sets. Don't seem to be able to complete a full session as the right hammie soon tightens up.

Running 39:05 [3] 8.2 km (4:46 / km)
shoes: Brooks GTS16

Rare lunchtime Shrimptons Creek run. Probably need to do a few more of these 'tempo' runs to stave off the slowing pace. Had to cut a corner at the end due to the footpath being closed.
