Great fun in the lower Blue Mountains using BF's Darks Common map and WHO's Knapsack Gully. Wasn't sure I was going to do it as my back was playing up after chopping wood on Saturday. Despite the mass start managed to miss a turm whilst followingthe RAAF base fence so had to pass a lot of other runners getting back towards the front. Took a safe track route to 3 which gained me a few more places. Reasonably steady through to 9, again gaining places by taking a safer track route to 8 overtaking Ewan. Slow down the big descent to 10, partly due to my back and partly due to the glasses. Took the road option to 11 and had the fastest split. Lost time after the last map change as took a longer route rather than risking a patch of dark green (which wasn't). Lost out on 3rd place in a sprint finish as I was convinced the other guy wasn't doing my course - stupid! Back very sore afterwards.
