John Elm Creek - Hard Long
Family expedition (without Ewan who was sick) up to the Hunter. Clean through the first three, crossed the main creek too early so decided to approach 4 from the opposite side of the creek and use the cliff lines as an attackpoint, only flaw with the plan was that the cliffs weren't at all obvious (or even there). This made me doubt where I was so bailed out west to the fence and took and bearing only to find Paula & Simon looking for the control as well. Simon then Paula caught me at 8 so ran as a train to the finish together with BertBennet was he was on line. Good little event, the map should be even better when its redrawn using Lidar to iron out some of the funnies. Not a great result.
