StK66 was my minute man and I caught him at 4, after that I was by myself. Only stuff up was a 11 where I was looking in the unmapped ditch on the east of the track rather than west. 10th overall for leg 1.

Chasing start going off 26 secs after both Jock & Greg and 28 secs after Coyote. Ran like hell from the start and nearly made contact at 4 but went backwards from there onwards. Dithered at 7 and took the longer, lower route to 8 (Ewan was 20 secs faster going back up). Didn't lose or gain any places so ended up 10th overall. Very pleased after Monday's debacle, giving me some hope for the 5 Days. Great effort from Simon to organise such a great event on Chrustmas Eve.,

No, no, no, an absolute shocker. Running like an old man with a total inability to find the controls. Didn't start well as I struggled to find 2, my first control, then set off up the road the wrong way to 29. Lots of overshooting and then over correcting at both 14 (4 mins) and 16 (2.5 mins) with the inevitable stumbling around at 23. 3 minutes exactly late so finished with a very lowly 410, 40 points behind Paula. One to forget.

Eight short intervals off not very much then six slightly longer ones on 2:15 cycle with just over a 4 min break between the two sets.
