Orienteering race (Sydney Sprint Series) 17:12 [4] 3.7 km (4:39 / km)

Pennant Hills Park

Fairly straight forward. Lost a bit of time at 2 where I headed into the court before realising the control was on the outside of the fence and at 3 where I couldn't see the light pole until Aoife pointed it out to me. About 2 mins off the pace.

Running 1:14:57 [3] 12.06 km (6:13 / km)

A rare run with Paula. Down to the LC Park and around the loop then back home. Still struggle to keep up with Paula on the technical bits and the downhills, she must have been a demon in her fellrunning hayday!

Running 40:43 [3] 8.58 km (4:45 / km)

Same as yesterday but anticlockwise laps of the park today. A tad faster but still not feeling very spritely, not surprising given the temperature was pushing 30C.

The Royal Spoonbill was still in residence together with an Egret (Sp?), both keeping their distance from the grubby ibises. Always amazes me how quiet the A380 is, one took off and flew very low overhead, so much quieter than all the other planes that were taking off. No smell of popcorn today!

Running 42:07 [3] 8.48 km (4:58 / km)

Easy run down to, and 2 laps around, Sydney Park.

Lots of aching muscles after yesterday's Pilates session, also the lower back is still stiff so didn't want to push things.

Pilates 1:00:00 [1]

Have a feeling I'm going to be sore tomorrow as I used muscles that had been forgotten about. At least I wasn't the only male in the class and this, together with the fact it's practically next door, means I have no reason not to go again.
