Orienteering race 1:08:08 [4] 7.01 km (9:43 / km)

Seemed like a hard day at the office, very physical; rough underfoot and thick vegetation which was invariably shown as white to trick you into taking direct route choices. Interestingly this was billed as being on a remap of the area and "that the rock detail is now perfect"! I thought I had a shocking run strewn with mistakes but it was obviously all relative as somehow I finished first in M50, who knows what errors the others must have made.

Orienteering race (Shadowing) 14:22 [1] 1.58 km (9:06 / km)

A lot more interest from Nea today, running from the off and continued pretty much the whole way round.

Other (Refereeing) 25:00 [1] 1.5 km (16:40 / km)

First half of Ewan's game. How do you deal with a 10 year old on the opposition who questions the ref's decision?
1 PM

Orienteering race 13:37 [4] 2.92 km (4:40 / km)

Reasonably straight forward course on a very flat area, a bit more thought may have made the course more challenging and less of a run fest. Got to the first control and nothing happened for what seemed ages, realised I was first off on Hard 4/5 and that I would be turning the controls on that weren't shared with other courses, not ideal but the few seconds lost didn't affect the final result. Third to Mile B and Glenn Burgess, let the family down as I was the only one not to finish first!
2 PM

Orienteering race (Shadowing) 12:38 [1] 1.55 km (8:09 / km)

Started off as "I don't want to run", then progressing to "OK I'll skip" then to full out running when she realised she could actually start to overtake people!
