Orienteering (Control collecting) 56:09 [3] 7.08 km (7:56 / km)

Before the storm. Collected 10 of the 13 controls from the first running leg, dropping them off with Michael who had driven around to the other side of the course. Glad of the elephant trails given the rough going.

Orienteering (Control collecting) 15:00 [3] 2.52 km (5:57 / km)

After the storm! Picked up six of the closer controls from legs 2, 3 and 4. Absolutely sodden underfoot given the rain that had just fallen. All in all a bit of an epic not getting home until 5.30.

Standard lunchtime run from work along Shrimptons Creek to water tank and back via Mac Centre. Slowed right down after 8k as a warm down. Tired to pick up the pace a bit as I've had too many slower runs recently in the bush or carrying a rucsac. Pace still a long way off where I want to be.

ITW, reverse of yesterday HFM sticking to bitumen. How long can the new shoes stay white? Some guy caught me part way through the park but I stuck with him and then kicked on the hill at the top to leave him behind!

Right achilles felt a bit tight on the uphills.

HFW through LC Park along road and then up the steep hill at the bottom of Fullers Road (first time for a while). Nothing off road as I wanted to keep my brand new pair for runners clean!
