Australian Sprint O - Bicheno

Great sprint-O with the technical bits provided by the rock platforms along the coast. Made one quite big error (90s) and maybe another 45s of mistakes. Beaten by Mike B and Shingo, but they were both in M50, so I scraped another lucky win.

Jogged a walking track with Alexa (took so long to get to it we didn't have time to walk it)

orienteering race 1:00:41 [4] *** 8.0 km (7:35 / km) +200m 6:45 / km
slept:8.0 shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212 (#2)

Tas champs - long.

Left #2 trying to avoid a small bit of slow forest and instead ploughed right into a big bit of fight, just not with the map scale. Bashed through it onto the wrong spur. Clean leg from there but the damage was done.

Another mistake later when I didn't follow the herd and went too high... stupid, stupid, probably another 2 minutes there.

Way off Eddies sub-50 minute pace, but should have been well under 60.

Aus Middle Distance Champs, Jason's Task

Brilliant tin mining terrain.
Cleaner than I could hope for through 7. On the way to 8 I lost contact a little and relocated on a knoll - unfortunately it was the knoll under the red line, not the one I could see on the map, so things didn't fit and I had to relocate - lost 5 minutes.

One other 1 minute+ mistake, but everyone else was having their own nightmare's so I won !! Expect the rest of the week to be harder, but we do have two more long races on adjoining maps.

Foot OK, so unticking the injury box.
