orienteering race 1:14:00 [3] ***** 6.0 km (12:20 / km)
(injured) shoes: Asics Gel-1160

NSW long champs
A few small mistakes early, then a couple of big ones, all through losing contact. Rolled both ankles - not good terrain for trainers !

Quit at #7 - cut my losses, make sure heel is good for Tassie.

orienteering race 40:43 [4] **** 5.5 km (7:24 / km) +125m 6:39 / km
weight:75kg (injured) shoes: Asics Gel-1160

Bit of a gamble - decided to go to state champs and run - icing in the car on the way down.

Middle distance race - Kahli's Rocks (dense granite) running in trainers...
Small mistake at #1, coming into #2, I saw Stix leaving, but couldn't find the damned control. Lost over a minute. Then pretty clean, saw Stix as I was going into #10 and he was leaving. Overtook him at #13, then messed up #14. Together #15,#16, split routes to #17, together at #18 and then I got away a tiny bit through to the end (#23).

Struggled to read/stay in contact on the downhills in the steep stuff, probably lost a few minutes at #16,#18 just hesitant (ie lost).

Foot seems to have pulled up fairly well, should be good to go tomorrow.

cycling (commute) 43:00 [3] 16.0 km (2:41 / km)
(injured)

Ride to work and back to school pick-up.
Howling northerly on the way home, almost went backwards a couple of times.

Note
(injured)

Probably in more pain this week than at the same time last week, the weekend is looking a little more doubtful, guess I have to decide tomorrow. :(

Monday Sep 3, 2012 #

cycling 1:45:00 [3] 25.0 km (4:12 / km)
(injured) shoes: Asics Gel-1150

Ride (on a Melbourne City bike... first 30 minutes for free *) out to Studley Park from the city and back.

The only way I can keep off my foot is by sleeping, swimming or riding.

Good news - I know what I want for Christmas
Bad (not unrelated) news - I lost my favourite T shirt
