Ride (on a Melbourne City bike... first 30 minutes for free *) out to Studley Park from the city and back.

The only way I can keep off my foot is by sleeping, swimming or riding.

Good news - I know what I want for Christmas

Big Foot Sprints - qualifier
Foot sore :(

Out of the start like a loony, managed to calm down a bit after #2, looks as though I had worked into 1st place by 8, then blew 9 & 10 horribly trying to go direct.

Patrik won in 17:15, 5th for me.

The chasing start.

Caught Shingo at the first control (pivot), but he had the other split. Then ran fairly steadily and caught one glimpse of Lee and Patrik going to 4 as I went to 3. And that was about it. Lost all my time (40 seconds) on a conservative route back to the pivot on the first visit back.

A lot of fun, but may have to take the whole week off to get foot OK fr next weekend.

Ride to/from work.
Right foot very sore after I spent whole afternoon sorting out stuff to take on tour next week. Bugger.

Ride to work in a non-direct manner.

Push bike to school to do drop off. Lock it with one of the locks for SI units we bought 2nd hand (and dirty) from AN Other club.

Do drop off.

Get back to bike and realise I have no idea what combo is.

Hobble home and look at other locks.

Hobble back to bike, ride dangerously to St Leonards to get maps for BIG FOOT SPRINTS. Don't look at them, and thence to work.

The short loop below River Road, then quick bush way to work - foot quite uncomfortable, but OK in bush, should be fine for Sunday's BIG RACE.
