Late start, after a night of drink & food, PingPong @ Spin and more drink & food for M&M's b-day. So worth the late start. :-)

Lots of people running in Sulphur Springs today. Trails were in great shape. Some muck & lots of fallen trees to jump over.
Was lucky when I arrived and a group from The Runner's Shoppe were going out for their second 20km loop. So I headed out with them. Good group with Jeremy (who I found is neighbors with my co-worker) & was at Hali last year, with his pacing buddy Terry. So great to see them again Along with Anna (3rd for 50km last year).

Once the 20km was done Jeremy, Anna & I headed out for another 10km. To make 50km for them & I was hoping to do another 20km after.
But 3km in I got major GI issues, had to stop & told them not to wait.

Headed to the bush, realized the reason my CWX tights were falling off was because there was a huge split between my legs, the length of my crotch. :-)

Felt better, but my legs just can't move passed 2.5 hrs. I don't know why. I am getting pretty concerned.
Anyway, no 50k today. Finished 28km & then walked 2km to the car to use as active recovery.

No garmin download unfortunately, as I lost/forgot my garmin in the parking lot. I realized when I got home & turned back, but it wasn't there. :(

I blame it on the nice chatty man in the parking lot.
It was actually Dale Draaistra who has placed 2nd in the last 3 years for the SS 100miler. He has a mission this year. He did 2 loops Friday, 2 loops on Saturday & 1 loop today. I hope he makes it.

Wanted to do 30km, but was slow & the wind was nuts so after 12km up & down every hill in High Park & some stair jumps, I took the road hills to the Humber & just turned around hitting the switchback.

Through High Park trails, up Ellis Park to Humber River and back hitting the switchback on the way.
Stomach cramps on the way back.
Was really looking forward to this run, felt pretty good but couldn't speed up. Just wanted to make 20km under 2hrs. Mission accomplished.

2km road/trail run to start of hill ~10min
6x Milkmen's Lane ~4km ~40min ~4:30min each up & down
Focused on staying on my toes and propelling up the hill, not flat foot & wasting energy.
2km road/trial run back to work ~10min

Auriculotherapy done by a friend of mine.
Which is like feet reflexology where the ear acts like parts of the body.
He uses my pulse (which he said was the slowest he's ever felt), to find the hot spots.
Anyway after some laser ear acupunture I am now sporting a little gold ball magnet taped to my ear.

Since it took longer than expected I didn't have time for my second run of the day and just walked the 7+km home.
Passing through Korean town I had to stop for walnut cakes and red bean & brown sugar pancakes. Yummy!
