shoes: VJ Integrator (ex Lulu)

British Relays, Summerhouse Knott.
3rd leg of M50 relay for SYO1. 4.0 km.
Comfortable lead thanks to Martin and Tim so was able to cruise round taking care to avoid silly mistakes.

Went out with Phil to re-run legs #2, #3 and #4 from yesterday. Phil discovered that he hadn't lost enough height yesterday. Nice to be able to have a chance to experience the beautiful terrain at leisure.

British Long Distance Champs, High Dam.
M50L, 8.1 km, 415m.
Second place behind Clive (68 min) yet again. Yawn...
Splits suggest that I lost it on #1 and #2. I never really worked out where i was on the way to #1. Thought I'd climbed to the right height but was still too low. Saw a control below and checked it out before having a steep scramble back up the hill. 1.5 mins gone. Panicking I raced off towards #2 but ended up going way too far right around the first hill. Pretty much the same time as Clive from #2 to the finish.

Golf. Half an hour practice on my new drive then Matchplay v Andy. Finished all square. My driving much improved but rest of game pretty dodgy.

A nervous lap of Digley. Particularly the point where my calf went on the Thursday before the JK.

4 points to take away:
Change grip more to fingers.
Higher backswing.
Swing inside to out.
Turn hands over at impact.

Holme via Underhill and back around Digley. All OK but a bit nervous after what happened just before the JK.
