While Boris and co vetted control locations for the planned Jan 24 event, walking around Combat Village West GPS surveying the boundaries of some of the new and less new areas that have been logged over recent years (most of which then develop a bad case of succession by thick vegetation) and one new large open area.

PVTC Christmas Caper 5K? No, just wasn't feeling the desire to do an early morning race this weekend. A fitness-testing 5K can wait until January.

Made it to class with a few minutes to spare this time.

Two round trips to the National Gallery - one to see a Visconti film and the second to retrieve my apartment keys which managed to give the carabiner I keep them on the slip as I was unlocking my bicycle outside the gallery after the film. With as much as I had to do this evening, I could have done without the boost to my training volume.

Round trip to Freer Gallery for a very strange Seijun Suzuki film.

Rest day unless I were to log walking downtown and back.

Ride to and from Cardozo track.

Second time training with Cardozo Crawlers. 2x(1000m + 1200m) with breaks of standing around briefly then walking 200m. I arrived a bit late and missed the start of the first 1000m rep so did that on my own after everyone else was finished. Didn't time myself so 16 minutes is guesswork.

Long trail run in Rock Creek Park, safely ending before dark/deer cull.

Round trip to dentist's in the south end of Rockville.
