QOC Oregon Ridge Blue - still under the weather but feeling well enough to run. Didn't do anything silly other than zone out and drift significantly on a couple of rough compass sections of the legs to 4 and 6. Spent a minute, maybe, at 7 deciding that it really was in the right place but that a cup depression that should have been in the circle had gone missing somehow - Glen Brake was there when I arrived and thought it might be mishung.

Glad the rain held off until ~5pm. Was on my way home after dropping in of the apres-orienteering at Eddie's by then.

Hiking 10:00 [2]
(sick)

At Oregon Ridge helping run the Area 5 NJROTC event, officially hosted by QOC since the habitual host, Mike Dvorsky, is busy preparing to host the national JROTC champs in February. This was one trip up and down the hill, purportedly to replace a control gone missing, actually just to verify that it was still there and the two early Orange A runners who said it wasn't had been looking in the wrong place. Could have done with sleeping in a lot more but, having got Valerie and Tom Nolan (not to mention Mike Newman) in line for a lot more work than just the standard QOC event would have been by signing the club up for this, I felt being there on the day to help make sure it went off all right was the least I could do. It pretty much did, helped by lovely weather we're all but certain not to see the like of tomorrow at the QOC event. Fortunately, as a consequence of combining with the JROTC event, we'll have a roof over our heads which wouldn't have been available at the Nature Center area where we've run OR events in the past.

Feeling enough better to go in to work. To central Wheaton to pick up rental car for the weekend. Feeling less good by the end of the day.

Note
(sick)

Did nothing physical. Stayed home and did a grand total of a couple of hours of telework. Would have done at least slightly more but they weren't very ready early in the day to send me much of anything to work on.

Cycling 54:00 [3]
(sick)

To work. Started feeling sick in the afternoon: general achiness, a bit of a headache, and mild nausea combined with hunger. Tried eating not much, biked home and vomited on arrival. Then slept a lot.
