Orienteering race 2:32:03 [3] 19.3 km (7:53 / km) +650m 6:45 / km

US Ultralong Champs - surprisingly third with the AP analysis saying three more people would have beaten me if they'd managed to keep their error time no higher than mine. I suppose I can legitimately take credit for some combination of better pacing and better navigation while fatigued but having more speed if not necessarily speed to burn would be nice. Managed not to reinflict significant damage on my right ankle and it's at least somewhat encouraging that my left hamstring didn't fail during the race but the aftermath of this was painful.

Orienteering race 38:42 [4] 5.5 km (7:02 / km)

Flying Pig Middle #1 - one huge mistake and one medium sized one in an otherwise okay but not brilliant race. Looks as though my running speed is currently significantly if not enormously less than that of the top tier of North American elites, which may or may not, given my late starting base training this year, be fixable over the next month or so, assuming my body holds up.

Orienteering race 1:08:29 [4] 9.4 km (7:17 / km)

QOC Little Bennett Blue - probably a bit better technically overall until I lost my right contact and made a huge parallel error then twisted my right ankle hard enough to hobble me slightly over the last ~third of the course. Nice that the expected precipitation didn't materialise.
