Orienteering race 2:53:09 [3]
Long Stumble - second, having been more fortunate in the vegetation that lay between the go control and the finish on the route I took than Vadim was on his. Kudos to Brian for running well and navigating well enough not to squander his running effort. He had a couple of errors that let people catch up to him, even get slightly ahead of him, but nothing big enough to let the rest of us there get ahead of him and establish enough separation to make it stick. The map may not have aged well but I think Randy did a good job of course setting around that - I only felt it was ever a problem when it came to guessing what state mapped trails would be in, if they were even still detectable, after 15 years, which was really only a problem for smaller trails.
