Just found out I-70 is closed between Kansas state line and Denver. I wonder when I'll make it home.

UPDATE: I'm home. The highway opened up, bit by bit, as I got closer to Colorado. It was still pretty scary, though. I guess it's not a true winter without at least one road trip on snow packed, icy roads in a blizzard. I passed masses of cars that had careened off the highway and had gotten pretty smashed up. And then there were the requisite idiots who thought they could still drive the speed limit and then slam on their brakes when they got too close to a slower car. So stupid!

An easier navigation day than yesterday, if that's possible. On my way to #7, I realized this was a course for fast runners and that I would be falling lower in the results list. Oh, well. It was still a lot of fun. Thanks to the start crew for letting me go early so I could head home as soon as possible.

The very best news was that my knees felt fine this morning, so I went out again sans brace. I was definitely slower than yesterday, but still jogging. Now I think it's more a function of not being in shape than my knees. I'll have to work on that.

Pretty straight forward orienteering, so not much time lost there. I also ran/shuffled for a good part of the course, but I'm paying for it. I'm in my hotel room icing both knees. We'll see how they feel tomorrow. It might be brace day.
