Running warm up/down 10:00 [3]

Up. Leg's doing okay.

Orienteering race 41:25 [3] *** 4.5 km (9:12 / km)
21c

I forgot how important compass is in this forest (from NAOC 2014), so I messed up my first control pretty badly. After that I was doing very well, running on my line and hitting controls with only minor issues. Then, after number 12 or so, I started to really struggle staying on my line again. I think it was a combination of getting tired and not looking at my compass as often. I started hooking controls or running to the wrong feature quite frequently, so overall I'd say my second half of the course was fairly sloppy. Finished about 3:00 behind Eric.

Ultimate 30:00 [3]

Last day of tryouts. Not super thrilled about how I played. I dropped a few discs I definitely shouldn't have a missed a couple Ds. Doesn't help that my right quad is still severely limiting my top speed, and I also fell on a rock with my tailbone this morning and that still aches quite a bit whenever I move, especially when I bend over.

So we'll see what they decide, but in the meantime I need to figure out what I can do to not be crippled.

Ultimate 30:00 [3]

Day 2 of tryouts. Wasn't a perfect day but I thought it went fairly well. My left quad is doing a little better by the right side is still pretty bad. I'm thinking now that I pulled the muscle on each side, which would explain why I can't just roll it out and why it hurts more to stretch it than contract it. Hopefully it'll work itself out soon, though.

Note

According to my log, the past week I've spent just over two hours training. This is not entirely accurate, though. When I play ultimate, I'm usually there for anywhere between 1.5-2.5 hours. The problem is that there are a lot of small breaks during ultimate that allow me to rest, so it wouldn't make sense for me to log that entire time as activity. Instead I try to chop that number down to approximate 25% of what it actually is. So even though I only have 2:15 of training logged, I have been active for far longer than that duration over the past week.
