Orienteering 1:01:05 [3] *** 6.8 km (8:59 / km)
17c

A fun course at Earl's Trails (where the Billygoat was last year). Aside from having trouble making sense of the contours on my way to number one it was a very clean and fast course. I felt really good and I was using my skills well. I paid attention to climb and looked at my compass (both very important on this terrain). I read backwards on the tricky legs which certainly helped, but most of the other legs were fairly straight forward.

Map Study 11:00 [3]

Another fun sprint course. Some tricky decisions, a couple of which surprised me. Definitely worth a look.

Yay running! Absolutely nothing special about this one that I can think of.

Map Study 16:00 [3]

Very tricky sprint map. A lot of tough choices and some end up being better than others.

Running 1:00 [3]

3 x 20s strides

Intervals 30:10 [3]

12 x 400m, 70-80s pace, 80s rest
Times: 69 (accidentally took a 90s rest), 80, 78, 77, 76, 78, 77, 80, 78, 77, 77, 73

My brother also came down and did every other one with me but skipped number 11 so he could push me on the last one. Whether or not that increased my speed during most of them, it definitely helped me go hard at the end. Thanks again, Bro!

Running 1:00:20 [3]

First half was a struggle. Second half was a lot better.

Map Study 8:15 [3]

Sprint map. Some legs look like they have a lot of route choice and it's interesting to see which ones are faster. A lot of them are about the same speed as is typical in a sprint, but there are a few where one was was significantly faster. Definitely worth looking at what people did. (Hitting "From Start" at the top left and then pausing the race before Alt+Shift clicking a control will mass start all selected runners from that control.)

Map Study 15:00 [3]

A couple of maps I was supposed to do earlier. The first is a sprint with some tricky choices, the second is a middle with less tricky choices but trickier terrain.

Running 59:30 [3]

Cake before run is not a wise decision. Vitalyte halfway through a run is.

Core 12:45 [3]

CORE! My brother decided to help by keeping track of time... Which meant my last set of planks went longer than it was supposed to and I had a Nerf gun to my head the entire time. I couldn't stop laughing.
