Today was even worse than yesterday.I couldn't focus on orienteering; my mind kept wandering towards other stuff and every time I tried to bring it back it would be gone ten seconds later. About half way through I finally decided I was going to think if the race as a training in concentration while orienteering, and it got a little better after that, but I was already running at a slow pace and I had already made a bunch of little mistakes which carried over to the second half. It didn't help that control 20 was in the wrong spot and I lost at least three minutes trying to find it. Turns out I actually ran past it when going to the right spot, so that was rather frustrating. Not my weekend by any means.

I really enjoyed the course and the terrain today, but I didn't have a very good performance. I was overshooting controls, getting off to one side or the other, and having consistent trouble within the circles. It all boils down to poor planning and execution, so I need to make sure I pay attention to that in the future. Also, control number 16 might have been on the wrong cliff, I can't remember for sure. I do know that it was either in the wrong spot, or there was a root-stock on the map which didn't exist out in the forest. Lost some time on that one as well.
