running uphill was a torchure, flat and downhill - ok

orienteering race 56:41 [3] ***** 4.49 km (12:37 / km)

decided to start running slow and see what pace my legs are capable to manage; on the way to #2 got that I won't be able to finish this tough course and since #3 wasn't far away decided to check it too, then back to finish through #7, #13 and #14; at this point glad o-seson is over for me at least for couple months since I got pretty tired, participating in almost evry A-meet possible this spring; WP meet made me think again if I'm in the right sport

Aprox 3hr drive to the start + about 2k walk-run mostly uphil with Greg; legs are ok if not pushing

Sloppy on the rocks, almost every control had about 30" mistake, about 2' on #4 (my biggest mistake) - got me about 9-10' total; running was hard, feels like my left leg doing double work

limping back and forth - since sprint is my favorite distance just couldn't let myself to skip it

again felt like only one leg is working; on the way to #3 hit my head and right after that steped into the barb wire, took me about 20" to take it off; about 2' total of small mistakes including wire, taking the wrong control and poor route choice to #12, mp - took red control on #6

check out before meet; calf is weak but I guess ok to run; stretching halfway and after the run; I've experienced the same problem a year ago but on the other leg and in different spot of calf; strange but it was the beginning of may last year - same time

including 5 hill reps which I walked up, running was surprisingly difficult, right calf (outer part) was killing me, I've never had problems like that - something new
