Recovery run with Joe, Gay Tim and Will. Great run had fun terrain was beautiful and so was the weather. Bit early for my liking!!

British Relays/SYO 1st

1st leg, mass start out of the field up there straight onto the hill pushed hard and got to the control first, 2nd of line came to the top depression lost about 15 secs, good flow through 3,4,5,6,7. Again offline coming over to 8 missed the re-entrant I was looking for and ended up to far to the left but relocated and found it. Lost about 30 secs. Good run in after that. 2nd best time overall pretty happy with myself especially after the lakes 2 years ago where I didn't even make it around the course on that area!!

Orienteering race 51:00 [5] 7.3 km (6:59 / km) +320m 5:44 / km

British Championships/Dalegarth/2nd Overall

Started off cautious to 1 then made a mistake on 2. Drifted to the right of the crags and up past 11 way offline, dropped over the top of the hill and relocated off the track. 3 good slowed as it seemed as if it was a long way round. 4 slow went over the hill, stupid route choice, should of stuck to the base and picked up the track. Good flow from 5,6,7,8 was bit too high. 9 long leg chose the right route but did not push hard enough also took a few seconds out missing some climb (southern pussy is what they will think). Good route to 11 did execute it at pace again felt it was further along the ridge then I anticipated, 12 good but hesitant on the way in, 13,14,15 and finish. Overall good performance lost about 2mins but Joe deserved it on the day. Shown great improvements after previous performances on this terrain.
