Hadn't ridden Durham enough, needed some night riding and it was my birthday weekend, so I invited a few folks to ride Durham. Nieces in town for Taylor Swift so we enlisted them as babysitters so Mrs. W could join the fun. Jasper & Jon, plus joined by Simpy and MJ. Decided since Jasper is riding there alot, we'd let him lead. Hmmm. Lots of double track until Jon took control and got us into single track. Really good group, fun discussions and beautiful night to ride, right up until Jon tried to rip his finger off. He was glad to be riding with Simpy, the ever prepared adventure racer for first aid supplies. We'll do it again (the ride, not the finger part).

Out to Whitby with the family for a pool party bbq, so JA and I snuck away for a ride up to Heber Downs, quick loops and climbs and then back down to jump in the pool. Had never been in Heber Downs before, but it's a nice place. Wonder if there is an O map of it, as would be good for a TOC event. Decent pace as he didn't let me sit up at all and my legs were a little heavy from yesterday and the post race pool plunge was perfect..
