USA Long Champs in Thatcher State Park, Albany, NY.
Better run than yesterday as learned to use trails as much as possible. Actually lots of trail/road variants today. Lost somewhere around 3 to 4 minutes overall on small mistakes and hesitations. Very good nutrition plan that worked marvelously (1 gu each 30 minutes and drinks at each water station). At #10 woman manning the controls told me that something is with my daughter. Spent around half minute trying to understand what happened but she didn't have much information. At #14 the person there confirmed that Masha had twisted ankle and waits for me at the finish. That was a relief! Thanks to lots of trail variants - I would not be able to pull the race to the end as thoughts about Masha ran in my head all the way to the finish. It was such nice to hear her cheering at the finish!
Thanks a lot to everyone who helped her to get to the finish from the woods and to paramedics who took care of her before I arrived! And to all the people who came later to cheer up and support her afterwards!
We surely had fun with weelchairs and go-carts on the way home at all airports :)
