ACT MTBO Long - East Kowen
1st. Lucky a few M50 racing in M40.
Hard work. No errors, not sure about route choices, there was a lot of them. Few hesitations looking for the minor tracks.
Long leg 5-6 was hard to decide. Still can’t work it out sitting here now.

ACT MTBO Sprint - East Kowen
1st.
First starter. No issues to 5 other than route choice.
6, 7, & 8 all in the grassy open areas and as the first starter there were no tracks through the long grass to follow.
Went past my intended turn to go to 9. Continued on single track from 10 to finish, seems it was quicker to go out to the fire track? Though not sure as had issue with registering the finish.

ACT MTBO Middle - Sparrow Hill
3rd.
Lost 13 minutes on control 7. In hindsight I must have ridden over an overgrown fire road and not realised it. Tracks I got to seemed to match the map and given the vagueness of some of the “tracks” that weren’t really there I assumed I was missing a vague intersection. Rest was OK except the long up hill leg after my big mistake. Wasn’t really motivated to push hard.

Being an early starter the vague “tracks” were hard to find. Particularly in and out of 4/160. Going back there for 12 it was much easier to see after lots of people had used it.

Was only about 6 minutes behind winner in the end.
