Orienteering race (Metro League #3) 38:07 [4] *** 7.4 km (5:09 / km)
18c shoes: Brooks Adrenaline Dark

A little disappointed with the course. Nothing much difficult about the navigation and really fast running. Felt pretty strong running most of the time but made a few small errors that cost me in total >1 min. Definitely could have made up the 4 seconds to the person in front of me.

26th +6:00. Didn't quite have the preparation I wanted, but still happy with the result. Also a little bit sick.

Despite losing (I think) ~9:30 (mostly to #1 and 2, ~7:00), I'm pretty happy with this run. I managed to not get flustered by having two bad controls in a row, and calm down, and start again for the rest of the course. Other mistakes: #11 ~1:00 bad compass (control may have been a little too far south, others thought so too), #12 ~1:00 didn't quite hit the cliff line at the right place and then proceeded to stuff around for a while, #15 ~30 stayed in the gully instead of coming straight off the track, up onto the spur.

#16 -17 (just east of the start) managed to trip full length ("TIMBER!"), would have been quite funny for anyone who saw me.
