Walking 45:00 [1] 2.0 mi (22:30 / mi)
shoes: R-Champion Grey/Orange

Grass and a trail near home, took it very slow on the continous uphills (almost stopping a few times) to keep L-leg from hurting.

By evening, there was one sore spot, apparently at the hamstring/hip attachment, or a little lower. Pretty deep as icing an hour or so before sleep did little to help it. It didn't hurt too bad and it was a little more narrowly focussed than most of the last week's worth of generaly glute/upper-hamstring area achiness while sitting.

Swimming (Water-buoy free-style) 28:52 [2] 1.25 km (23:06 / km)

First day back from CA trip. And Angelica encouraged me to go swim, so I did. Good Coach :) Now I see other's were also encouraging me to do some kind of exercise (e.g. swimming...)

Note

I'm being pretty lazy this week as far as exercise. I'm in class and working in San Diego, and with the need to rest my hamstring, I'm also using that as an excuse to do almost no exercise.

Despite that, my hamstring is still a little sore. Not too bad, but I still need to shift in my seat every once in a while despite having a very low activity level.

Swimming and upper body strength would pro

Swimming (Laps, QC pool) 14:30 [2] 0.54 km (26:51 / km)

Swam in a heated outdoor pool at night - air temp ~55 here in San Diego. Dragged the legs for ~4 laps then noticed a water buoy on the side so used that.

Didn't swim too much as my hamstring has been slowly improving the last few days and I was afraid to reinjure it. It's still sore when walking or sitting, but as long as I walk slow, and get up every hour or so, it's only sore, not annoyingly sore. It felt better for 30 minutes after the swim, but then it felt more sore than normal during part of the evening, but that was after a short period where I walked normal (reasonably fast) speed for a little bit, and it seems okay the next morning? I may swim again tonight. Or maybe just do arm weights.
